The Fund aims to improve the quality of life for Derbyshire residents by supporting activities that help to build safer, stronger communities.

This fund supports a broad range of small community and voluntary groups with a variety of different costs. As with all of the Foundation's funds the overarching purpose of each grant we make is to enhance the quality of life for people living in Derbyshire communities and to tackle disadvantages and inequalities faced by people living in the county today.

This Fund has been established by the Freemasons of Derbyshire Provincial Grand Charity to support community life and tackle disadvantage across Derbyshire by supporting community and voluntary groups and charities.

This fund provides financial assistance to any community and voluntary organisation tackling homelessness issues and / or addressing housing problems.

John Weston

John Weston Fund

This fund was set up by local benefactor John Weston in 2002 and has three strands.

Strand One: Support to individual young people with personal development
Strand Two: Financial assistance to groups tackling issues related to supporting young people
Strand Three: Financial assistance to groups tackling issues related to supporting older people, specifically those who are isolated / at risk of isolation.

Rolls-Royce Fund 2021

Every year the Foundation works alongside Rolls-Royce to develop a grant theme, responding to local needs, topics and concerns. For 2021 the theme will be:

Made By Sport – Clubs in Crisis

We’re pleased to have teamed up with Made By Sport to offer local organisations the opportunity to apply for a grant which can help support young people as they start to recover from the effects of the latest lockdown.

The coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on young people across the UK, and thanks to Made By Sport, we can offer a chance for organisations to access vital funding which can help them to continue bringing sport into young people’s lives.

We’ll be administering the fund on behalf of Made By Sport and awarding unrestricted of grants of £2,021 to organisations who match the criteria.
