“As Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire, I am here to represent the people of Derbyshire and Derby CIty. We live in one of the safest counties in the country, but I am determined to make it even safer. I want the focus to be on fighting crime and improving public safety for all. I want to make sure the law-abiding citizen is at the heart of everything we do and that there are fewer victims of crime.
I have listened to what residents feel is important to them when it comes to policing and community safety and I have consulted further with local people, victims of crime, and many organisations dedicated to reducing harm. Their views are reflected in my police and crime plan priorities.”
