Emergency flood relief grants

UPDATE: Given the volume of applications we have already received, the Emergency Flood Relief Grants programme is now unfortunately closed and unable to accept any further applications.

Foundation Derbyshire has a small amount of funding available to help households affected by the flooding caused by Storm Babet. Given the limited resources available (c. £12,000), £200 emergency grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis.

Our priority in the immediate aftermath of the floods is to provide financial support to people affected by the floods, to help with urgent needs like the costs of living in temporary accommodation, or items to enable people to stay in their homes – e.g. costs of running dehumidifiers.

Subject to availability of funds, we are therefore making immediate grant payments of £200 to households that have been directly affected by the recent floods, where water came into houses (but not where it only went into gardens or garages).

This criteria may change once we fully understand the extent of the flooding.
