On Monday 23rd October, Foundation Derbyshire hosted its third annual Awards, celebrating some of the most exciting projects and hardworking groups funded over the last 12 months.

We were very generously hosted by our Patron the Duke of Devonshire at Chatsworth House and received kind financial support from Rathbones to make the event happen.

As always our Awards are a tale of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The five awarded groups have made life better for hundreds of local Derbyshire people and we thank them for their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication.

It was also a chance to thank our donors, and for the first time we had a spotlight on the philanthropy section, which this year shone on Lucy and David Palmer who established the Locko Fund with us 21 years ago.

Here are the winners!

Bus Park Cafe (Swadlincote)

SPODA (Chesterfield) –  A special posthumous award for their work during the group’s life

Well Being Works (Derby)

Derbyshire LGBT+ (Derby and Derbyshire)

Derventio Housing Trust (Ilkeston – Growing Lives Project)
