A brand new Fund has been set up by William and Griselda Kerr and we are thrilled to welcome them into our growing family of local philanthropists.
The Fund has been established to support groups that use the arts, such as music, dance and drama, to work with and help some of the most vulnerable in our society. The Fund will also look at bids from groups using horticulture to develop skills, health and opportunities – this could be anything from gardening and allotments to farming.
We are delighted to have established a named fund with Foundation Derbyshire and are looking forward to working with them to support the fantastic work that is being done across the city and county.
We are particularly looking forward to seeing applications from projects and groups that use art, music and gardening to support and improve the well-being of vulnerable people across the county, as we’ve been lucky enough to see first-hand the transformative and therapeutic effects that these particular activities can bring.
As with most of our Funds grants of up to £1,000 will be available. Please do contact Sarah on the grants team on 01773 525863 to discuss any potential project ideas.
