What attracted you to being a Trustee of Foundation Derbyshire?
Having had some experience as a Trustee in the Charitable sector and having met the Foundation’s Chief Executive and Chairman, I was impressed by the integrity and professionalism of the Foundation. I am always keen to support the local Charitable sector in Derbyshire and thought I may have something to offer.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love being outdoors and so spend time walking, cycling or horse riding in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside.
What excites you about Foundation Derbyshire?
The Foundation is a fabulous local resource that effectively helps Derbyshire’s charitable supporters link up with Derbyshire’s community groups and charities, who are looking for sources of funding and advice. It has an experienced, top-quality team that can offer advice to both sides of the equation and provide cost-effective solutions. We just need to let more people out there know that we are here to help them!

Jane was born in Staffordshire and went to school in Derbyshire. She Qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist at Manchester University and worked in the NHS in Solihull. She later attained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Aston University and worked for many years in Racecourse Management. She currently manages a number of private businesses and lives in the Derbyshire Peak District.
Jane joined as Trustee of Foundation Derbyshire in August 2021.
